WebApr 22, 2024 · Odd as that may sound, I don't need NotePerformer to sound 'better' or more realistic. It's perfectly fine as it is - for my workflow anyway. I use NotePerformer as a tool to check orchestration. If a balance between instruments is off, NotePerformer lets you hear it. Two timbres don't work together? Audible with NotePerformer.

While at it, we must also drop 32-bit support, which means that NotePerformer 3 will be the last version to run in Sibelius 6 and Finale 2014.5.
WebAug 7, 2024 · Finale currently doesn't support latency compensation. A one second delay when inputting notes and sounds makes it very frustrating to use both NotePerformer 3 with Finale. I've begun switching over to Sibelius because their software doesn't have a delay. It can sound amazing, and is fully integrated with Sibelius, and now Finale and Dorico (but it started with Sibelius). It will perform what you put into notation, including dynamics and musical phrasing, and it sounds very good.
